My Beauty I’m wearing your favorite dress Knowing tonight, I’m looking my best. For you, I still feel my best is not enough. You seem to always treat me like a diamond in the rough Sifting and searching, finding something Something that you say is out of the ordinary None of the above, Or someone no one else can carry So, I realize tonight I will look to impress For I know that my beauty is not in my dress It’s not in my shape, my size, or my hairstyle tonight But you see my heart and my soul Through the windows of my eyes You are the only one committed to this one. The only one man enough to engage with me in conversation. The only one I truly see, The only one who brings the evidence of beauty out of me. You are my love, my king, my love hero, My song for the mood, my yacht for the cruise. Tonight is not for you to see me looking good for you, But for the beauty within me coming out to view.

About the Book
"A Pen to A Pad" is a collecton of poetry written by the author. Most of the works were inspired by experience and introspection. This book speaks to the reader in some ways. Poetry topics include, but not limited to, Relationships, God, and Inspiration. The author's dream is to inspire a generation to love themselves, live out their purpose, and fulfill their dreams.
About the Author
Alina was born September 20, 1986 in the small town of Mattoon, IL. At the age of 10, her family packed their bags and moved to Saginaw, MI where she continued elementary school, attended White Pine Middle School, and completed high school with honors from Arthur Hill High School. Alina was raised by her father and mother, has an older brother, a twin sister, and a younger sister. She faithfully attends Victorious Believers Ministries COGIC and sings in the choir. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women. Alina loves music as well as writing. She began writing poetry when she was 15 years old, at the age where she felt like so many new things were being discovered and the only way to capture them all was to write. Poetry became her release and therapy. She would write about whatever came to mind or what was in her heart. She was inspired very much throughout her teenage years to write about love, God, relationships, trials, and victories. Now more than ever, is the right time for her works to be shared with the world. She is 23 years old and is embarking on an exciting purpose that God has for her. This chapter of her life must be shared so that someone else can be inspired to do great things.
