Justin Slater, the most prominent stockbroker in Honey Oaks, Texas and the president of the Honey Oaks Bumblebees Booster Club is found murdered at the Honey Oaks stadium two hours before the big game of the week in Texas high school football. His lifelong friend, Clayfour Peterson, a cotton gin operator, bail bondsman and former Dallas policeman comes forth to help bring his killer to justice. His suspect list includes Justin's ex-wife, clients who lost money, brokers he had to fire for their misdeeds, the Honey Oaks High coaching staff and even the star quarterback. Two years later, Tamara Lynn Thomas, the best girls basketball player ever for Honey Oaks returns home to coach the Lady Bees following some very successful seasons of coaching elsewhere in Texas. In a big intra-county rivalry on Tuesday night before Thanksgiving, the Lady Bees are hosting Plumbers Gap. Outside, the gym a Texas blue norther turning into a massive ice storm is wreaking havoc on all of Texas. Even worse, there are three men parked in white van waiting for Coach Thomas when she leaves the gym after the game. Sheriff Dalton Gumby again calls on Peterson to help solve a number of crimes that take place related to why the men are waiting for Coach Thomas.

Two stories in one cover, set two years apart with a continuing group of characters makes for some exciting reading, especially for those wanting a taste of Texas and the people, events and items that make it a unique state to live in, if not read about.
About the Author
Byron “Putt” Riddle has once again dug into his background as a stockbroker for 40 years and a sports writer over 20 years to write a sequel to his first novel, Zero Tolerance, published by iUniverse in 2007. Just Greed/ Not Lust continues to draw on his life experiences as a native Texan and has parts in it that every Texan and wanta-be Texan can relate to. Riddle has, with a great deal of realism, been able to bring characters to life who closley match those he encountered as a broker and as a sports writer.
Since retiring from the brokerage industry in 04, he has been involved in the writing business. He was a local newspaper sports writer and columnist for four and a half years. It took him two years to bring his newest novel to the point of publication. That is due to increased work demands in his other writings and his involvement in a project near and dear to his heart, the start up of an animal rescue shelter in Limestone County, Texas. He is a co-founder of LARAS’ House ( Limestone Animal Rescue and Adoption Shelter), its vice-president and a board member.
Riddle lives with his wife Virginia at Lake Mexia. His four children, Michelle, Brent, Kyle and Katie Beth are scattered from Florida to Virginia to other parts of Texas. He has four grandsons, Alex, Paxton, Kristofer and Austin who was born October 5, 2009.
