A story about a military attache at the German Embassy in Washington in 1931 who sought asylum in the United States. Asylum was granted after agreement was made to substitute an American as a double for the Attache. The substituted double would act as an undercover agent for the United States. The double who was selected, based on body similarities and plastic surgery, fluency in the language, returned to Germany as a Major In Army Intelligence with instructions to incur the favor of any top Nazi officials in anticipation of a Nazi take over of Germany. The double's success far exceeded expectations, eventually becoming a top and powerful official with the Geheime Staatspolizei or better known as the Gestapo.
About the Author
Clyde Doyal celebrated his fiftieth year as a licensed Texas Attorney in 2009 and was honored for that achievement by the State Bar Of Texas in July 2009. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years, served as a board member of a large Texas school district for four years, and served as a full time Mayor for eight years. He and his wife Mollie have four sons and ten grandchildren. They currently live in Lakeway, Texas.
