About the Book

Marjorie Moyer as a child stood for her faith, winning over her sisters, mother and brothers. She taught school, went to college, married (becoming Marjorie Scism), became a pastor’s wife, then missionary to India. In all this she overcame amazing obstacles first of poverty, then of difficulty and opposition, through her faith, love and devotion to God, her family and the cause. Here she tells her straight-forward story of dedication in Colorado, Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho, India, Tennessee and retirement, supplying an example of inspiration and accomplishment.

About the Author

Marjorie Jean Scism grew up in Colorado and Oregon, went to college and married in California, was a pastor’s wife in Washington and Idaho, a missionary in India, where she and her husband Ellis saw tremendous results in ministry, but also increasing illness. She was a pastor’s wife again in Tennessee, then a retired missionary until her passing. Her exemplary life inspires a new generation of devotion. Stanley Scism is Marjorie’s grandson. He founded Scism Christian University, named after Ellis and Marjorie, in India and Nepal, teaching a later generation of ministers who have founded many additional congregations. He has written and edited numerous biographies, theological notes, songs and plays.
