The forest was exceptionally dense and the trail rocky. The trees around him were getting larger and blacker as he walked deeper into the forest, taking each step recklessly. The sound of the leaves crunching beneath his feet was pleasurable, and the bushes seemed to follow him wherever he went. Occasionally, Alex would look behind him to see if he was being followed, but each time he looked, he found nothing. He was in the midst of nothingness. It seemed to Alex that the trail was proceeding upwards; he was now climbing Mount Purcell. He walked through bushes and trees, following an unknown trail of pebbles, until he reached the highest point of the trail. There was a sign that read: Caution! Cliff Ahead. He walked past the caution sign, ignoring it, and stopped only after he had reached the end of the trail behind the cliff . He looked down below and saw more blackness. There was no ending to the fall. Without thinking, he shut his eyes, and placed his right foot over the cliff , allowing his other leg to follow. His heart raced as he fell to the bottom. It took him less than a second. It merely felt like Alex had tripped over his own feet. Slightly frowning, he opened his eyes and was amazed at the new sight in front of him. It was no longer night, but broad daylight. It was very warm and there was a lot of snow. Lots and lots of snow, and it continued to magically fall out of thin air.

About the Book

Now, it is up to him, along with his three best friends, Leon, Amanda, and Kasen, to choose a path to follow. Little do they know, everything that occurs is predestined, and the world they seemingly try to save may just be an illusion, set up for greater ruin by something—or someone—even more powerful.
About the Author
A. A. Farr, born in Canada, has been constructing stories and writing poems ever since she was only five years of age, and always had the dream of becoming one of the youngest wellknown authors in the world. With her younger brother, and many guy cousins, growing up together in Scarborough, Ontario, it was always a competition of who can tell the tallest of tales, and luckily, she had always been victorious. Always surrounded and influenced by those youngsters interested only in video games, wrestling matches and Dragonball Z, A. A. Farr began to capture these magical and fantastical moments and call them her own.
Only nineteen years of age and hoping her dream may one day come true, she is now attending the University of Toronto, as an English specialist, to further enhance her writing abilities.
