About the Book

Dr. Jack Simpson, a prominent cardiologist at the Aspen Valley Hospital, is facing a controversial malpractice lawsuit involving accountant, Sam Kahn. Sam Kahn works in the back office of a Manhattan-based hedge fund that trades predominantly in oil futures. He discovers an irregularity in the hedge fund’s trading techniques and, consequently, drama begins to unfold.

Meanwhile, the Aspen Valley Hospital administrator, Kathy Ellington, and Dr. Simpson’s close friend, Dr. Ed Harris, attempt to assist Dr. Simpson. The couple gets involved not only romantically, but along with local detective, Harry McNally, and find themselves swept into a world of murder, Islamic terrorism, and financial intrigue.

About the Author

Joel Feiss is a practicing gastroenterologist and internist who has been published in medical journals in the field of gastroenterology. Retribution for Acts of Terrorism was inspired by an interest in the commodity markets and religion as it relates to world history. He has skied and hiked in Aspen, Colorado, for over thirty years and chose this area for his first novel. He currently lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with his wife, Pearl.
