About the Author
I am a certified registered sports physiotherapist and a certified personal trainer. I also practice craniosacral therapy and acupuncture. I opened my private practice in 2004 called PHYSIOFIT (www.physiofit.ca) in Toronto, Canada specializing in sports and orthopedic physical therapy. I am the official physiotherapist and dryland coach for the Ontario Freestlye Ski team. I also work with many elite/Olympic athletes and corporate executives. In the past, I was a member of the Women National Alpine Ski team representing Canada at the World Cup level from 1981-1985 and was selected for the Olympic team for the 1984 Sarajevo, Yugoslavia Winter Games. I am an active lecturer and rehabilitation consultant to University, High School, Health conferences, collegiate and amateur sports teams. I published my first book, "Solid to the Core" in March 2006 (www.solidtothecore.ca) and have done several television appearances and radio talk shows to promote it. Right now, I am really pleased to announced that I just self-published my second book in May 2009 called "Solid to the Neck, Mid-Back and Shoulder". I am also a candidate to be a volunteer medical sports physiotherapist for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada in 2010. I am originally from Quebec but now live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with my husband Douglas and my 2 beautiful girls Chloe (12 y.o.) and Danika (10 y.o.). I speak French and English fluently.
