About the Author

Prince “Bud” Revelle was born in 1927 in Fredericktown, eastern Missouri. He grew up in the small town, and joined the Navy Seabees in 1945. He had two tours of duty, one in the South Pacific, and, a few years later, after a year of college and marriage, in Adak, Alaska. His father and grandfather built houses, and Bud became a builder as well. He married a hometown girl, and they reared four successful children. He was a Sunday school teacher, a scoutmaster, a vocational school instructor, and an all ‘round good citizen. Now, at the age of 82, he has lived in three Veterans Homes, where he has had time to write his life story.
