About the Author
Hollis Earl Johnson is a retired twenty-three-year U. S. Navy active duty military veteran. Hollis Johnson resides in Honolulu, Hawaii. After retirement from the military, Hollis Johnson enjoyed a career as a chief building engineering maintenance specialist in Hawaii, until his retirement in 2007.
Hollis Johnson, his mother, father, and siblings had a young lifetime that was spent in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Johnson is writing this autobiography to describe his emotional suffering during his journey through the racism that existed during his life tenure. Hollis Johnson experienced from childhood the racism that was once was so inherently common in America. The racism that caused him to question his esteem and self-worth.
Mr. Johnson also describes in this autobiography the emotional relief he enjoyed from prevailing racism after settling as a resident in the state of Hawaii. In addition, Mr. Johnson presents in this autobiography a macro view of Hawaii’s racial climate. Hawaii’s racial harmony and disharmony is described in a comparative view.
