About the Book

40 something and newly divorced, Rafaela needed a change of scenery. Travelling abroad with a clutch of 20-something students to Spain was bound to be an adventure, but she got more than she bargained for in the process.

What started as a journey of self-discovery quickly transformed her perspective and priorities. Everything that began Under the Clock propelled her into a world of bullfights, communist rallies and salsa dancing. Things get complicated when Salvador walks through the door, and now she fears risking her heart to love again. Is Salvador the “caballero” she always imagined existed? Or, will he simply dash her dreams of love among the tolling bells and cobblestone streets of Salamanca?

Under the Clock offers the romantic revelations of Under the Tuscan Sun with the self-actualization of Eat, Pray, Love. Don’t miss this romp through castles and cathedrals, fired up with flamenco and fiestas. You are sure to fall in love with the fabulous flavors of Spain, and one woman’s testimony to the joys of mid-life crisis.

Reader's Comments

Just finished reading Under the Clock by Rafaela Molina. Purchased the Perfect Bound Softcover format. Ended up reading the book from cover to cover in one sitting because I could not put it down! She is truly a gifted writer, and her gift of eloquence allows you to fully visualize Spain through her eyes. I could not put the book down! Can't wait for my next trip to Spain, and can't wait for her to write a sequel!
