About the Author

Ann T. Keene was born in Chicago and educated at Swarthmore College and Indiana University. She has lived in New York City, Washington DC, and Los Angeles, and also spent several years in Switzerland. A specialist in American studies, Keene taught literature and writing at the university level before becoming a professional editor and writer of both fiction and nonfiction for trade book publishers in New York City. She is the author of half a dozen books of nonfiction for young adults, including "Earthkeepers: Observers and Protectors of Nature" and "Peacemakers," both published by Oxford University Press. Her young-adult biography "Willa Cather," originally published by Simon & Schuster, is available in a reprint edition from iUniverse. "Another Time, Another Place" is Keene's first published collection of fiction. The mother of four grown children, Keene lives with her husband, a broadcasting executive, and their four Boston Terriers in Princeton, New Jersey.
