About the Book
The coffin maker
Ebennezar Trotman and family came to Trinidad by boat from St. Vincent. When he arrived at the wharf in Port of Spain, he met a fisherman named Hills and asked him to recommend a place where a man and his family could make a good living. Hills, not knowing that Trotman was a coffin builder by trade, sent him to a fishing village called Icacos where the people were so healthy that they hardly ever died.
The fight of the century
When Arthur, the Chinese shopkeeper's son, arranged a boxing match between a near alcoholic, ex-world boxing contendor and a village boy, he did not know that he was unearthing a talent that would take the world by storm.
