About the Author
Bob Mandel has been a pioneer in the personal growth movement for more than three decades and has coached thousands of people throughout the world. As the founder of ISLP (International Seminars leadeship Programs) and the creator of ISEP (International Self-Esteem Project), he has worked with individuals, couples, families, and companies to create greater success in the world, success at home, and balance the two. He is the author of ten previous books, including Money Mantras, Two Hearts Are Better Thank One, and Wake Up To Wealth. Bob is one of the twelve original certified rebirthers, a world-acclaimed spiritual leader, and a former partner with Sondra Ray of the Loving Relationships Training (LRT). He has facilitated a multitude of workships and programs, including Love and Money, The Spirit of Wealth, Having it All, and God Provides. For many years, he conducted year-long money workshops in New York City as well as six and nine month self-help programs. A graduate of Columbia University (BA, MA), Bob did his post-graduate work at Yale, where he was the recipient of the John Gassner Memorial Award for his critical essay, Resurrections. He has won a National Endowment Award for his play Sand Dwarfs. In 1973, Bob's life took an abrupt turn when his father died suddenly, his house burned down (and with it all his original manuscripts), and his first marriage fell apart. Distraught, he explored numerous spiritual teachings, healing techniques, as well as conventional therapies, first to find wholeness for himself and then as a professional therapist, dedicated to supporting others in recovering from their wounds and realizing their dreams. He developed his own unique brand of healing, described in his book Open Heart Therapy. Bob now lives with his wife Mallie, the love of my life, in rural northwestern CT in a beautiful home nestled between woods and meadow. His two daughters are successful in business and home, both happily married, and his four grandchildren are each unique, delightful, and brilliant in their diverse forms of intelligence. His golden retriever, Sunshine, is also a therapist and helps him with his groups and clients. He has recently completed a novel, Finding Freedom, and is working on several new manuscripts, including childrens books, plays, and self-help books. Every morning Bob walks Sunshine at sunrise down to Prayer Rock where he gives thanks for his life and prays for those he loves and the world as a whole.
