About the Book
I am here to help you get back on track of what’s really important, you. I pray that everyone who reads this book finds this to be a priceless journey and regain your ability to focus on what is most important: to pursue their dreams and aspirations. We can do it. I am doing it, right now, even as you read. Challenges in life are symbolic of obstacles we face. They are only tools placed in our path, to mold us into stronger resilient individuals, in the face of adversity.
Some have been told that they will never amount to anything. Some may not have had the opportunity to have the resources to reach their goals. Some may have fallen off the path of success by misfortune, death, even depression.
I once suffered, too, from chronic depression, but believe me, there is hope. We don’t give up, we rise up. If we fall, we get up, and if we get dirty, clean up. Never run from your dreams. “If you can see them you can reach them”, but remember, let us not reach beyond reality, we might be setting ourselves up for failure.
About the Author
Like most boys, growing up in 1968, I came from a troubled home. I didn’t understand life until I fell enough times to get up and do better. I grew up on the West-side of Chicago. Can anything good come from the West-side? I had a suburban slash southern influence. Religion was the backbone of the community, but didn’t gain a real understanding until I put my hand to the plow, the School of Ministry. I had many stepping stones and it seems like to this pyramid of stairs there is no end. My mom lead they way and basically was the bread winner, yet truly God is the provider of it all. My dad departed in a different route for things beyond his control. I have two bright children who are the most intellectual beings on the planet. They surpassed being your average teenagers, yet beautiful, active and innovative. They strive to be a Veterinarian and a Aeronautical Engineer. I pretty much have my work cut out for me. I am still waiting for my Eve. Someone very dear to me said once, “you do all this writing, have you ever written a book?” I guess that was my cue. I was so sidetracked that I never really found the time to put it into publication. That is what moved me into creating this book, lead by inspiration. I have written poetry found on Poetry.com. Yet the genuine deep stuff is still not published yet. I’ve worked in the I.T. Industry for two decades at different levels. I have been journaling for the past 15 years. I’ve learned a great deal of dealing with people of all sorts. I hold several technical achievements and pats on the back for going above the call of duty. I believe that rapport is everything. That is my personal slogan. I consider myself to be down to earth and would like to believe that one day, I too will become a philanthropist. This book I can only hope propels you forward to regain your focus and keep things in there proper perspective. It is a challenge to any person who seeks to better themselves and to try and please people. Life is filled with many obstacles, yet quitters never win and winners never quit. Someone famous once said that and I hold it to be true.
