Women As Pastors

Some women will say that they cannot be wrong because they are doing good or great things and they are doing what the Lord has called all men and women to do. It can be said that it is understood that we are all called to do things but we are called to do them in order. Men are to be in subjection to Christ and women are to be in subjection to men. Man cannot be above Christ and women cannot be above men. Men cannot lead Christ and therefore women cannot be in the lead of men in the church. Others might say that their church is mostly women. To that, it can be said that mostly does not mean all. Furthermore, going around a barrier, does not mean that the barrier is no longer there, it just means that one was able to get around it. Does that mean that breaking the law is okay as long as we can get around it? The answer is surely no. Finding away around the scriptures is just as wrong for anyone that does it. It is clear that being out of order is not looked at, by God, as a good thing. As He illustrated to us in His punishment of Korah, He is not accepting of disorder or self-made leaders. It is also clear that purposefully going against the Word of God will have severe consequences. God has clearly shown us that He will punish accordingly and rightfully. Through love, God sent His soon to redeem the world, in love I write this book and it should be in live that people that are out of order step aside and assume their rightful positions in the church, wherever that may be. By the Word of God we know that it is not as pastor or deacon in the church dedicated to serving the Lord. If it were man’s decision as to who could and could not lead the church of God, I must admit that there would be no reason for me to write this book outside of worldly influences. I have seen, met and even interacted with several women who I believe are capable of leading a church. I have been impressed and yes even inspired by a number of women who I believe could pastor a church. But one of the important things to remember is that this is one of those decisions that is not mandated by man. God has not implied nor has he explicitly said that the church should choose its pastor from any living being in the church. He has established a criteria and a method to finding and selecting his pastors. The church, the body of Christ must embrace the Lord’s methods and understand that going around them does not help the church or the body or the one going around those methods.
