About the Author
Kate Emery Pogue , author of Shakespeare’s Friends and Shakespeare’s Family teaches at the University of Houston Downtown. An actress, stage director, and lecturer, she was for over a decade the Artistic Director of the Shakespeare by the Book Festival where she directed fifteen of Shakespeare’s plays. She lives in Houston, Texas.
