About the Book
While on a long bus ride, Mitch is forced to face his choices in life to understand what brought him to this point...returning to his home town, a place he always thought he wanted to escape. He has to examine the many poor choices he made, all with the intention of reaching his goal of growing up unlike his family; while finding that his goals were all wrong and that his really good future was always right in front of his eyes. Now, understanding this, he wonders if it is too late to grab that golden ring.
About the Author
Born and raised in Indiana, I met and married a farmer at the age of 19. After his death at the age of 22, I received my BA and MA degrees from Indiana University and worked for the next thirty plus years as a social worker, mostly with children and families and for the last ten years as an investigator of the abuse and neglect of children. Writing court reports on these cases became the telling of their stories so the understanding of the family members was important and necessary and often involved life and death situations. After a severe back injury forced me to retire, I worked as a travel agent and then, after again retiring, began to write based on my observations and experiences with a variety of people. Currently I divide my time between Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Sonoma, California.
