About the Author

Darma b was born in Montreal to a Jewish Czech/Latvian father and a Scottish/Acadian mother. Therapist, singer, artist and storyteller, she has produced this compilation of poems from her life experiences. She studied at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts; she was a member of “Jeunesses Musicales du Canada” and “La Farandole de Racine,” and has participated in stage productions in Quebec, Switzerland, and France. Darma b is the proud “mamie” of two grandsons and presently lives on the South Shore of Montreal. La biographie Darma b est thérapeute en relation d’aide, guérisseuse, conteuse, et maître rêveur. Elle écrit depuis l’âge de huit ans, de cette voix qui vient du sentie et du cœur. Darma b est née à Montréal, QC, d’un père Juif et d’une mère Acadienne. Elle fit des études classiques à Sherbrooke, suivi d’études multidisciplinaires en arts à l’école du “Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal” avec Arthur Lismer du “Groupe des Sept ”. Darma b participa maintes fois aux “Jeunesses Musicales du Canada,” et elle fit partie de la troupe ‘La Farandole de Racine.’ Sous l’expertise de Marie Bombardier, elle se produisit en chant et théâtre au Québec, en France et en Suisse. Darma b vit présentement sur la Rive-Sud de Montréal, entourée de ses enfants et de ses petits-enfants.
