God Thinks You're Stupid

I am the master of all that I can conceive, predict, contemplate, and observe. I take that responsibility willingly and with all the protective paranoia of an obsessed, militant parent protecting an only child. In addition, I cannot afford to put myself in jeopardy – not at all, not for any purpose. That would be reckless. I am very calculated in my actions as well as keenly aware of their potential consequences. It may sound cowardly to some of you, but I have my subjects (my children) fight battles for me – at great pain and peril to themselves, I should add. This is necessary, as I hope you will come to see. My servants are many; spirits mostly who’ve chosen to be tested. I don’t find satisfaction in passing a test, but in winning a battle – I am more a general than a student. My servants are many and always at my beck and call. I don’t really have favorites among them, I do, however need different things from different servants – some are more prominent than others. I refer to each of them as just “servant”. I created them. I know everything about them. Naming them would have been pointless; I look at them and I know them completely, I don’t need individual labels for them. I guess they’ll live about eighty years or so. That seems to be about the average. They all choose to come to Earth. Spirits are always trying to discover their true mettle. That’s why they come. They could have stayed, but they just need to know for some reason. It’s a strange phenomena; the spirit’s desire to experience existence as a mortal. The idea is counterintuitive to most of us – which is strange as well because most of you came here as spirits. The vast power of a spirit chooses limitation. I suppose that if you could choose to be limited in ability for a short time you might, but only for a short time – about eighty years or so. I’m not sure what you expect exactly. You must know what to expect in general. You’ve seen the lives that have lived before you. It really is a splendid show. You seem so extreme in emotion. I guess that comes with mortality. Immortals don’t suffer the threat of another or fear a specific thing. Being impervious from the control of another settles emotion; there are no surprises.
