About the Book
Life is a high wire act. What happens if one day you lose your balance? Ask James Soh, a man so riddled with contradictions he’s the human version of Swiss cheese. But as he falls he also finds that sometimes -- just sometimes -- God gives us a safety net.
It’s called a second chance.
About the Author
Born in Oxford, the United Kingdom, Mark Chin ‘s life experiences have been shaped by places -- Hong Kong, Singapore, Brunei, Scotland, England, the United States, Japan, Canada – and professional disciplines -- operations, lean six sigma, strategic planning, project management, process design/architecture, client relationship management as well as training and development. Unfortunately none of this actually qualified him to write. What this did do was enable him to meet people, fostering his obsession about what it means to be human, especially in an age when everything from bottle caps to ideals seem to be disposable. Since the age of eleven he has tried to write stories these folks who ride the subways, take the commuter trains and stand in long lines for buses would spend time enjoying -- little reflections of the reality they face every day, be it a familiar setting or as far away as the next star system. So from his home in Toronto Mark tries to give voice to tales and themes common the world over, and hopes that one day he will get it right.
