About the Author

Carolyn Zeanah taught middle school or high school for 31 years, 21 of which were in Home Economics. The teaching of food preparation and nutrition was a major part of her work. At home her two sons benefited from her teaching and have developed a love of preparing and eating excellent food, using locally harvested food. Now her grandchildren are benefiting from this knowledge. She was born, educated and taught in Alabama. She holds B. S. and M. A. degrees in Education from The University of Alabama. She is presently living in a retirement community located on the campus of The University of Alabama where she has access to all that a college campus has to offer.
