About the Book

There is so much advice available on how to be the ideal job prospect. There are so many advertisements on the latest hot new careers. Between all this is the long, frustrating cycle of unemployment for which there is no end in sight. And as if it couldn’t get worse, there are countless get-rich-quick schemers who are interested not in your success, but their own personal profits. But there is hope. My book aims to encourage you to consider volunteering as a way to get your foot in the door, as a way to get your products and services in front of the people instead of going through the middlemen. This is not volunteering as a way to be a noble individual. This is volunteering as a way to take control of your own destiny. Stop begging employers to give you a job. Stop begging people to give your business venture a chance. Get out there, let someone try you out by offering a free sample, and then get paid from quality products and services I know you have to offer.

About the Author

I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. I travel quite a bit and really love exploring, whether I am exploring new cities, new venues, or even new places to just hang out. I have many friends in Ohio and Michigan, but I also have friends spread out among other states. I have volunteered for a hospital, an animal shelter, various professional organization events, and several theatres. My current job in a downtown Chicago hospital was preceded my volunteer work for the same hospital. Through casual conversations, I have discovered that like me, many others found jobs with the very employer for whom they were once volunteers. I have even discovered that some people found their career through volunteer work. One of the most important lessons I have learned in life is that the more open minded you are, the more good things will come into your life. I have found that exploring, trying out new things and demonstrating dedication and hard work will move you far in life. I wasn't always the open-minded exhibitionist I am today, so I am intimately familiar with the thinking of limit-minded people.
