During the dynamic 60s, a young family relocates to an ultra luxurious high-rise housing complex. The post-war skyline was burgeoning with state of the art construction including swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, and ice skating rink in Riverdale, New York.

The euphoria of the era transcends and envelops the fresh arrival of residents. Toby Larrer, by happenstance, encounters a next-door neighbor, Doris Wright, and they forge an enduring friendship and remarkable adventure of social consciousness and self-awareness.

These denizens of a "brave new world" were university educated, mothers of two small children, and committed to middle class sensibilities of humanity and citizenship.

With the pablum-pushing-pacifier phase of their parenting behind them, these two women endeavor to replenish their adulthood in the dizzying maelstrom of stimuli that sparked the 60s. They share, ingest and interpret their world with a poignancy and affection that underscores the denominators of friendship and love.

As each generation reinvents its own wheel, for them the magic of the 60s provided a unique stage and moment in time.
