About the Book
Trail of Tears...Paths of Passions is a collection of poems that describe the inner feelings of individuals when they are overcome with grief, happiness, passion, sadness, death and overall emotions that may be hard to discribe at any time in our life.
About the Author
Writing has helped me to cope with the many struggles that I have gone through in my life since the passing of my mother Iris. She was my heart and soul. When she passed my world started to crumble. I dedicated myself to continue writing poetry so that I could help myself heal in the best way that I can, which was through pen and paper. Her death was the hardest thing that I had to face in this world I don’t think anything worse could happen to me at this moment. It’s going on 2 years that she passed and I still miss her more than I did a year ago. Everyday that passes is a challenge and yet I want to show her that even though she’s not here with me in person, she’s with me in spirit and I will always love her. Life is a journey that doesn’t always have the right paths but as individuals we have to find the right way to not only make ourselves happy but to keep the memory of our loved ones alive. I am a 25 year old Puerto Rican female who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Living in a middle class neighborhood hasn’t always been easy. But obstacles haven’t stopped me from trying to pursue a writing career and hopefully someday become a famous writer. This book Trail of Tears…Paths of Passion is dedicated to my mother Iris Ramirez that will always be in our memory.
