Cloe reached for the phone. I wonder what Rose wanted she thought. She reluctantly dialed the number. She hated to wake anyone up.
“Hey you.” Rose said happily over the phone.
“Hey Rose. Why are you not sleeping. What’s this about a bad dream?” Cloe said back. She loved to talk to Rose. They always had a good time together, made each other laugh. Rose was a practiced Herbal healer, besides a vet tech at a big vacation lodge, and made Cloe a lot of her charms and protection amulets and powders.
“Where have you been?” Rose asked worriedly.
“Oh…I have been at the Romp Room for some of the night.” CLoe replied as she made her way into the kitchen “and had dinner with Sue before that.” she opened up the fridge door and grabbed a soda. She turned around and grabbed a can of Pringles off the counter. Then she made her way back to the couch.
“Why where you at the Romp Room, and without me?” Rose asked sweetly.
“Well it seems as if Megan is running with a cult” Cloe put a chip in her mouth.
“Does she know it?”
“I don’t know.” Cloe said while chewing “I’ll find out tomorrow.”
“What cult group is it, or do you know?” Rose inquired.
“The thing is, is that the two I checked out had the sigil of the demon Botis on their necks. So it wasn’t hard to spot. To anybody else it would look like some kind of fancy drawing.”
“Oh…isn’t that a demon bad?
“Yes, and you need to make me a protection amulet for this one.” Rose pointed out, and took a drink of her soda.
“You’ll have to give me the details on it so I know what to protect you against.”
“I’ll come over tomorrow if you’re not busy, and bring my book.”
“Okay. What time?”
“Well first I’m going to Sue’s house to talk to Megan and then I can be over after that. I know it takes a while to make an amulet.” Cloe stated
“Okay. I’ll do my shopping in the morning then and I’ll call you when I get home.” Rose replied
“That’s settled; now tell me about your dream, Rose.”
“Oh, that! In my dream we went to a psychic, kind of like the one we saw when we went to that fair on the square? Anyways, she kept on insisting that you were going to die, and we would blow her off and make fun of her and she just kept getting more and more persistent, and you said that she was full of shit and left and when I tried to get up she grabbed my wrist and kept repeating it over and over. I tried to loose my hand but she was strong. And she kept getting closer to my face and I couldn’t get up. Then I woke up.”
“Wow. That was some dream.” Windy said, and noticed that she’s holding her breath.
“Ya…it was pretty powerful. Have you read your cards lately?”
“No…your not suppose to read for yourself, remember? I guess I could ask Sue to.”
“Maybe you should.” Rose said over a yawn.
“Okay. You sound tired and I know I am, so you ready to get some sleep yet?” Rose asked gently.
“Ya, thanks for calling. I feel better now.”
“You bet. Any time. I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”
“Okay. See ya tomorrow.” and Rose hung up.
