Intoxicated By Love Oh how intoxicating is this Love! A Love so great it has no size As we savor the essence of Love and overflow, each in our own expression, it becomes an unending cascade of love quenching a parched existence Love melts all resistance to itself Being absorbed into the human form Manifesting the flavors of gratitude, respect and forgiveness What a healing balm for the world! Grounded In You More often than not By your Grace And no matter the circumstance I am aware of being grounded in the simple ecstatic joy of You Thoughts now blink on and off Rather than chant their constant oration When they cry out to interfere with the clarity of the moment They are silenced away as if by sleight of hand There can be the experience of the lowest of the low Or the highest of the high And there You are smiling You are the grit that irritates ice into steam Noise into silence Circumstance into illusion You are All that is! Only Stillness How can I serve you my Beloved I humbly inquire What to do with so many minds Spinning out of control including my own Seems we can never get enough of what we don't really need Not finding the fullness in needing nothing at all Be who you are As you are Is all that is required my dear Then wait and see So I listen and engage without engaging I gaze upon the beauty of every situation Anticipating without expectations Realizing I want it all and yet have found enough! In the midst of humanity I discover once again… There is only stillness Present and louder than any words being shouted From the illusory field of existence And the appearance of everything Is so welcomed when allowed to be as it is Realizing everything that bears a face will die Even as That, which has no face, lives forever Who Are You? You are animated Silence Who materializes and vaporizes in empty space Seen, felt and heard With no more substance than a cloudless sky Still You are the very pulse and breath of All You cannot be found anywhere Yet You are present everywhere, always You are the collective One

Kris Martin met her Beloved teacher, Eli Jaxon-Bear in 1995. Subsequent to his transmission of silence she discovered words of timeless wisdom expressed through her pen. This is her first book. She is a grateful mother of three grown sons and lives with her loving husband in Reno, Nevada.
