Get the Picture Where there is no vision, the people perish. Proverbs 29:18 Vision is a picture of what the leader believes the future can look like. No great accomplishment on planet earth came without vision. The leader must first see it and believe it before he can achieve it! Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of a “color blind” society. He saw in his mind’s eye a picture of the world where people were not separated by color. Although, Dr. King was cruelly assassinated, his dream lives on as racial barriers continue to fall. Sam Walton saw a store in small town America that would improve the standard of living for the people by providing quality goods at low prices in a pleasant shopping environment. Sam has passed but his dream lives on and has inspired the building of the largest corporation in the world. Bill Hybels saw the Church as described by his college professor, Dr. Gilbert Bilezikian, as “a community of believers who were so totally devoted to God that their lives together were charged with the Spirit’s power. In that band of Christ-followers, believers loved each other with a radical kind of love. They took off their masks and shared their lives with one another. They laughed and cried and prayed and sang and served together in authentic Christian fellowship.” Bill’s dream has become a living reality as he now leads one of the largest congregations of Christ followers in North America. About the Author
Shonn Keels has traveled to 6 of the 7 continents, 43 countries, and almost state in the United States of America. He has preached in some of the largest churches in the world and has personally shared the gospel with more than 1 million people. He speaks regularly as an evangelist. He also speaks on the topic of leadership to corporations of all sizes and serves as a motivational speaker for schools of all ages, entrepreneurs, and athletic teams at all levels. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the Luther Rice Seminary. He is currently working on his Doctorate at Columbia International University and Graduate School for Missions. He is a former Senior Pastor with more than two decades of leadership experience. He is one of our nation's heroes having served during Desert Storm and Desert Shield as a Rescue Swimmer. Keels is currently serving as a lead evangelist with Team Impact Ministries and as the president of Shonn Keels Ministries. He is a Best Selling author with his second book "Hold The Rope." He and his wife have two daughters and reside in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
