one young special lady… one young special lady sat before me at the age of fifteen. she was an aspiring writer who just read a few stories from my first published book. her eyes glowed with the intensity of a mature woman and she put her arms around my neck with a hug that said thank you. I got mail from her saying that her English teacher now reads one story a day to her class at school. my heart swelled with pride knowing that I have touched someone in a very special way. and so does wisdom often speak from the mouth of children who learn and teach us well. my second book will be dedicated to this sweet young soul who has taught me about a simple hug and loving eyes that can be spread to others. for you Sara, I may be now the student and you the teacher. let me be the first in line where I may have your autograph...

About the Book
we take a path to the left or the right where the results are different. the outcome may be good or bad, or in between. for reasons unknown that is the way it is supposed to be. we find a high school sweetheart that came back into our lives some twenty years later. a three year old crawls out an open window and falls two stories down, yet survives. while you sleep, the blanket pulls itself up back over you. mom who has long since passed away tucks you in again as you smile at her in a dream that was so real. just behind you and to the left and right is something more. look straight ahead and there on common ground is Where Angels Tread. this book is dedicated to my wife Angela and my son Scott. special thanks to Sara Tompkins who has inspired me to write many of the stories in this book.
