A lovely park bench placed under a beautiful old Chinaberry tree overlooked the Bay of St. Louis. Engraved on a bronze plaque attached to the back of the bench were the words “Jude’s Bench.” Visitors to the quaint little artists’ community who stopped to rest on the bench, read the plaque and wondered briefly about Jude. They didn’t ponder the mystery for very long. They sat on the bench beside the beach with its wonderful view of the Bay and appreciated it being there. The townspeople, many who congregated at the bench to enjoy a glorious sunrise or just met in the afternoon to chat a bit, already knew the story of Jude’s Bench and were just thankful for the bench that provided such pleasure.

About the Book
Jude returns after a four-year absence to caution his wife, Chris, against remarrying. Chris is not too happy with Jude’s sudden reappearance and pushy interference with her engagement to the new man in her life. Especially since he has been gone for such a long time without her ever hearing from him.
This moving novel, a blend of fact and fiction, is interspersed with many of the author’s written works, some published, some not. Jude’s Bench is about a couple whose long marriage filled with love, laughter, loss, good and bad times, comes to an abrupt end.
Above all, Jude’s Bench, is the story of love’s endurance.
About the Author
L.L. LEE Leona Lipari Lee, MA, RN is a native of South Louisiana and resides in Bay St. Louis, MS. She is a retired psychiatric nurse with a BA degree in psychology and an MA degree in English from the University of New Orleans. Ms. Lee is a published author and has written several books and articles. She is the author of a nonfiction book, How to Survive Menopause without Going Crazy and a contributor to several nonfiction books including, Chicken Soup for the Sisters Soul and Women’s Health: A Resource Guide for Nurses. Ms. Lee has also been published in several magazines and newspapers. She is the author of four humorous mystery/romantic novels featuring the “Sisters” from Louisiana, Taxing Tallula, The Sisters: Lost in Brooklyn, The Sisters: Found in San Antonio and The Sisters: Murder by the Bayou. The last in the Sisters Series, Murder by the Bayou is set in Louisiana and pre-Katrina Bay St. Louis. Ms. Lee is currently writing a humorous novel that deals with seniors falling in love.
