She lay there, disheveled, motionless, so cold looking, and apparently stiff. The flashlight’s beam showed her beautiful, brown eyes, dilated in fixation and wide-eyed. They stared aimlessly up toward me, although partially hidden by the fresh Canadian snow. Her once pretty face, now seemingly frozen almost solid white, apparently was wreathing in horror at the time of her demise. Her throat-slit, blood spattered, half-naked body showed trauma everywhere. Her lips were bloody and very swollen. Those beautifully arching eyebrows shone gashes from the beating she apparently had received, right before she died. Her skirt, pulled above her waist, exposed torn panties and a firm midsection. It all made me queasy. I immediately got up staggering away and sucked air. I tried not to vomit, but failed. I fumbled with my cellular, and managed to dial the 911 number. My distress call found coverage this time and then went out, thank God!
