About the Book

This book is written as a reminder of days gone by and the hard times faced by not only the author but many others as well. Times were tough for whole neighborhoods. Lack of proper housing, food and clothing was the most prominent of the times. Referring to them as obstacles; the author tackled these obstacles with her innate abilities. She used her abilities to excel in school and acquire many social skills.
