About the Book

BLESSINGS is a journey that takes the reader from a great-grandfather who fought three years in the Civil War; from a 100 year old farm house during the Great Depression; to travels all over the world; and finally, to a glimpse of the future with the author’s two great grandchildren.

It takes you through the fun times like trying to cross into Canada in a car with the engine number filed off and only United States gasoline stamps. It tells of times when they were so lost that Bob gets out of the car and argues with the sign post. And there are the thirteen moves in the first sixteen years of marriage.

It’s a personal account of the bumps and joys along the road – the lasting friendships made in different towns – 89 basketball games in a single year – the year without a victory. You will relate with the author as she shares the many “blessings” that have come her way.

About the Author

This book "Blessings" is dedicated to the extended family of Ruth Fuson. Ruth is a wife and mother, a grandmother and great-grandmother. She received her bachelor degree in Education from Indiana State Teachers College. She is retired now, but has done substitute teaching and served as the director of a public library where her love for books was finally satisfied. She has worn many hats in her community working with the church, the school, the local food pantry and many social organizations. She loves to read, to travel, to sew and do craft work, and to work in her flowers and garden. You'll always find her busy, yet with time for family and friends.
