“A Valentine Tribute” I went to buy A Valentine To ask if you would please “Be Mine” I looked at every card in the rack I read each one , Then put it back There were so many, Yet so few That said what I wanted to say to you You’ve been my lover and my best friend You’ve dried my tears and held my hand You’ve shared my sorrows and my pain You’ve made the sunshine thru the rain You’ve shared your laughter & your joy You’ve given me two beautiful boys Sometimes it seems the going gets tough And we tend to get more then enough We’ve been thru thick, we’ve been thru thin Some times we lose, Sometimes we win Deep within each others hearts A flame has flickered from the start Our love has been tried & pasted the test The flame of our love shell never rest Brenda Temptation What makes revisiting temptation so difficult is that one doesn’t want to discourage it completely Experience helps us grow; accomplishment helps us mature It’s good to know your fellow man and what he’s thanking of; and it is well to know the hand that fits the golden glove; it’s great to have a special trade on which you can depend; and it’s to your advantage if you know who is your friend; you’ll gain if you know what to do; when all the chips are down; you will win if you know when to smile instead of frown; it’s wise to plan your journey well and make your future bright; and it is most essential to know what is wrong or right; but though it’s good to know all this your joys are on the self ; and you will lose much happiness; unless you know yourself Live your own life; for you will die your own death One is easily fooled; by that which one loves Brenda

About the Book
These are the poems of a young girl as she grows into a young woman much more mature then her age; friendship, family, love, and nature there's so much in this world to see if you just open your eyes and look around. Life is good if you open your heart to others, theres never been a person that has meet Brenda that hasn't liked her or loved her.
About the Author
Brenda Lee (Brown) Burke March 13, 1957—August 31, 2007 Born March 13, 1957 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Leslie L. and Catherine L. (Burd) Brown. She growing up in Mundy Township Michigan. She attended Rankin Elementary School, Mandeville Junior High School, and Ainsworth High School graduating in 1976. She married Roger Burke on December 11, 1974. Brenda and Roger were vary active in there community, a T-Ball coach (Brenda) and very active in Cub Scouts (Den Mother) and Boy Scouts and other school activities, when ever asked she was there to help. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, camping, and crafting making thing for her sons and granddaughters. The family moved to Central Florida in 1987 were she lived until her death, in Apopka Fl. She worked for Seminole County Public Safety Department. She wrote these poems between the ages of 13-18. I don’t know why she stopped after we got married I tried to get her to keep righting and get someone to publish them but I guess she lost entrust, she just wanted to be a good Mother and Wife and yes she was very good at both. After 12 years of fighting cancer I lost my best friend, for the first time I couldn’t tell her, don’t worry about it I’ll take care of it. So I put her poems in print so hopefully others can enjoy her work, and understand who she was. If I had only one friend left I’d want it to be you.
