Having endured years of abuse from her alcoholic husband, David, Kathryn must find a way to escape the clutches of this most evil man. Grieving the loss of two children by his actions, she is determined to protect the child that she now carries. Kathryn summons the strength and courage she needs to flee, realizing that she must travel a great distance, she embarks on a journey that takes her far away from David.

After leaving the Police Force following the tragic murders of his wife and young son, John has been in a downward spiral of psychological and emotional distress. He often contemplates suicide. However a chance encounter with Kathryn dramatically changes their lives and the path they are on. Now, John will stop at nothing to protect Kathryn and her unborn child.

About the Author

It is a love of literature, and a desire to inspire through writing, that has been the motivation for this work of fiction. Connie lives with her three children in Southern Ontario, Canada.
