About the Author

Sharon has enjoyed writing poetry since she was a young lady. Over the years, with additional insight and maturity, her work has arrived at a depth and range that her close friends and colleagues have had the privilege to enjoy. Sharon has accumulated many poems over the years and now chooses some of her best work, including paintings and photography, to publicly share with others in this book. You will find her work is captivating, romantic, political, teasingly foolish and sometimes controversial. Poetry enthusiasts are sure to enjoy this collection. Writing poetry has been a form of self expression in Sharon’s life. She writes about, situations in her life or people close to her that have touched her emotionally or made and serious impact through her journey through life. She enjoys writing about things that cross her mind and the thoughts that affect her during a difficult day. According to Sharon: "Writing poetry is a form of art for many and a media of self expression for one to discover the truth that lies inside a person’s soul. Having the ability to write about feeling, emotions, frustrations and love is a gift that a person can give themselves. When I finally wanted to publicly share my poems, the decision was easy because it would give me an opportunity to share my passion to write poetry with others. Each poem comes from memories and experiences that have made an impression on me in one way or another. I believe that if we share our true feelings then we can help others recognize that others have experienced similar situations at different stages of their lives." Sharon lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband and three children.
