About the Book
Prior to his death in 2007 Glynn Jordan wrote his memoirs and found an appreciative audience among family and friends. One wrote, “Glynn, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful story with me. What a blessed life you have enjoyed.” These stories and poems are about growing up during the Depression, life lessons, love, marriage, service during World War II, jobs, church and volunteer work, travel, fishing, family, and friends. There is nothing heroic or exceptional in the experiences he relates, but those are the qualities that shine through as he tells of a life lived honestly and well. In addition to the informative, upbeat, and humorous stories and poems, Glynn’s daughters have included many treasured family photos and recipes. It is certain that readers will enjoy Glynn’s journey down memory lane and even be encouraged to write their own Lifetime of Memories.
