About the Author
Lucy Dougall is the author of Orkney Days (c200 Puget Sound Press), War/Peace Film Guide (3rd Edition c1980, World Without War Publications), and War and Peace in Literature (c1982, World Without War Publications). A lifelong Quaker peace activist, Dougall has spent years working with organizations includng The American Friends Service Committee and The World Without War Council. She has traveled extensively and spent sabatical years on nearly every continent with her husband, teacher and mountain climber, Bill Dougall. Hiking the wilderness beaches and coastal mountains of the Pacific Northwest, where she has lived for over 50 years, has given Lucy Dougall a deep appreciation for the outdoors. The poetry in Migrations reflects this connection to the natural world, as well as her love of family and faith in the human community.
