For sixty-one years, Maggie Kahne has been taken care of by the men in her life; first her beloved father and then her husband, Kennedy Kahne. Mary B. Blalock has always been fascinated by the similarities between the very old and the very young. She uses these experiences as the foundation for her book. She is the proud mother of five wonderful children, a houseful of grandchildren, and a great-grandbaby.
