About the Book

You will laugh and you will cry at some of the incidents that take place during the authors lifetime. While it was not written to be entertaining persay, it has it's entertaining moments. A lover of drama, the author displays the "ham" in her in some of the stories she tells. None of which are fabricated. These are just a few of the memories she has pulled out of the cup, for the cup is bottomless. So, may the reader drink up and enjoy.

About the Author

I was an English major at the University of Texas. I taught school and have always been interested in words. I have written two novellas and published both. Because I didn't know much about my parents childhood, I wanted my grandchildren to know about the many changes that have taken place during my lifetime. I've gone from the horse and buggy days and the chic sales to indoor plumbing, electricty and air conditioning. I've seen the development of the automobile, radio, movies, computers and air travel. You name it I've been there and seen it. I was born in Clarnedon, Texas and lived in Donnelly county until I left the nest in 1936. I married my husband in 1937 and traveled extensively in the 1970's and 80's. In 1981, we made a trip around the world..just the two of us. In the year 2000, my husband Grady and I moved to Wichita Falls for his health and chose Rolling Meadows as our home. My cat, Katt, and I have lived at Rolling Meadows alone since 2004. I count Rolling Meadows as my "green pastures". I could'nt ask for a better place to live. I've had a good life with ups and downs, but it has been sprinkled with blessings. The lord has been good to me, indeed.
