When Elephthera opened her eyes and looked around, her heart jumped in her chest. "Thalassa!” she called. “Damn it! I fell asleep.” The princess was nowhere to be found. No, Thalassa, no! "Listeia! Alanthea!" she woke them up brusquely. “What is it?” Alanthea asked startled. “She’s gone. Thalassa is gone.” It took a few seconds for the Amazons to understand the reason for Elephthera's desperate exclamation. “Where did she…? How could she…?” Alanthea wondered looking around. Listeia opened her eyes widely without believing what she was hearing. “Quickly!” Elephthera urged them. “We need to go and find her." “But she clearly said we should obey her orders,” Listeia argued. “If we don’t go to the beach at midnight as she instructed, she’ll be furious.” “Listeia, listen to me," Elephthera replied. "If we obey Thalassa's orders, she'll be dead before midnight. I know what she's trying to do and we must stop her.”

About the Book
In this sequel to For the Amazon Nation, Thalassa and Elephthera must rely on their invincible tenacity and the power of their hearts to overcome the most hazardous situation they have ever faced.
After surviving the savage war against Sarmatian nomads in Aretias, Princess Thalassa travels back to her homeland with Elephthera, who has decided to settle in Lemnos with her. As they try to adapt to their new life, their peace is once again disrupted by the arrival of the enigmatic Syrdta, a Scythian woman who unchains a series of tragic events.
Soon, they find themselves in the middle of another thrilling adventure that pushes their lives to the limit, and only by trusting in the strong bond they share, can Thalassa and Elephthera become each other's hope.

About the Author
Paulina Sánchez (Mexico City 1982- ). After graduating with high honors from the Universidad Anáhuac del Sur with a major in Literature, she started working as a History, English and Literature teacher. She currently translates two American magazines for a well-known media corporation. Isabel Forga (Barcelona, Spain 1972- ) obtained a degree in English Language and Literature by the Universitat de Barcelona in 1995. Since then, and given her interest in languages, she has lived and studied in several European countries. Nowadays she resides in Mexico City, where she works as a translator. Isabel and Paulina have published other literary works together, including For the Amazon Nation (prequel of The Path of a Queen).
