This book was written for those of you who've asked, "What actually is a prayer meeting?" It is intended to give you the feeling that you are really present with us every Wednesday night at 8:00 PM, and to give you a blow-by-blow description of what generally occurs. As you flip through these pages, may the Holy Spirit blow you away! Immerse yourself in the text. From start to finish, I have tried as best as I can to make you feel you are present with us. As you read this book, you are sitting with us, absorbing what the Holy Spirit is allowing to flow into your being, and focusing only on Him from whom all blessings flow. Imagine yourself sitting in a circle, surrounded by people who love the Lord. A table has been set up in the middle of that circle. We have placed on it a lighted candle, representing the Light of Christ; some Rosary Beads and perhaps a few other holy objects. The Light of Christ reminds us that, "Where two or more are gathered, He is in our midst." Last, but not least, if this book encourages you to join a prayer community, I rejoice! I sincerely pray that it will be a community of people who are dedicated to loving one another as He has loved us. If you are fortunate in finding a prayer group whose members are seeking only to give Him the praise, glory, and thanks, I know that you will become a new creation. The peace, love, and joy that comes only from knowing Him will truly be yours! He has chosen many ways for us to draw closer to Him. Thirty years ago in a remote section of the Bronx, a small band of Christians consisting of a priest, one nun, and a few lay parishioners entered a church hall on a Wednesday evening, created a circle with folding chairs, lit a candle, and began to pray. And so began the St. Frances de Chantal Charismatic Prayer Group that is still praising together today.

About the Author
Mary Moussot was married to her husband Pete for fifty-two years before his death in 2007. She lives in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx, is the mother of three sons and one daughter, and a very proud grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren.
