About the Book
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.”
(Matthew 18:20)
Thirty years ago in a remote section of the Bronx, a small band of Christians consisting of a priest, one nun, and a few lay parishioners entered a church hall on a Wednesday evening, created a circle with folding chairs, lit a candle, and began to pray. And so began the St. Frances de Chantal Charismatic Prayer Group that is still praising together today.
In Wednesdays at Eight, Mary Moussot provides step-by-step guidance on how to achieve meaningful prayer, especially in a group, and shares her insight as an active member of the St. Frances de Chantal Charismatic Prayer Group in order to educate others about the prayer meeting structure as well as the spiritual benefits participants can receive from attending these meetings. As Mary recounts her own spiritual journey, she also includes over fifty inspirational prayers that quote biblical passages and provide prayerful reflections.
This valuable reference manual provides practical yet inspirational spiritual advice for anyone looking to either join or begin a prayer group.
