About the Book
My poetry is about moments in life, real and imagined, written often with tongue-in-cheek in the hope that the reader will smile at the irony and share the sentiment.
About the Author
Grace Hawes was born in Cumberland, Wisconsin, and lived for many years in California. Now, with her husband, Ernest ZumBrunnen, she divides her time between Portland, Oregon and Capitola, California. She works part-time at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. She is the author of the book "The Marshall Plan for China" and her poetry has been published in the British poetry magazine "FIRE" and in "Reflections" which is published in Oregon.
She has three children (one son is deceased) and six grandchildren. Spending time with them is her greatest pleasure. Next would be enjoying her friends. After that, reading, writing, and traveling (especially to China and to England) give joy and purpose to her life.
