About the Book

British prime minister Thornton Wingate loves the ginmonger’s slattern, and hates everybody else. His aunt, Lady Anne Throppe, loves Lady Anne Throppe, and hates everybody else. Frank Slaughter loves France, and hates philistines. French president, Valery Discard d‘Istaing, hates Duluth. U.S. president, Kenny Bunkport, loves marshmallows, and hates spinach. The last Dane on Earth, Øle Ølafson loves collecting comic books–and decidedly does not love Lars Larson. Lars loves God, and God doesn’t like Lars much–but he does love fishing.

These passions play out on a world stage, in the past, present, and future– and with the occasional appearance of a ghost, a few immortals–and even a cameo appearance by The Big Guy. We are witness to: the destruction of Denmark, and of Duluth; the destruction of French culture; the rewriting of British history–and the cutest little kitten to ever waddle across the face of the Earth.

About the Author

James Trevor was born in Chicago where he studied film production at Columbia College and languages and history at the University of Illinois. He has worked as a filmmaker, writer, interpreter, translator and teacher. He lives in Madrid, Spain.
