About the Book

Pathway of Light is a book of poems based on the life of the author. These are unlike any poems you've ever read. Real life situations are turned into words that rhyme. They will touch your heart and soul. Through reading these heart-felt poems, you will be challenged in ways you may not imagine possible! You will laugh, cry, and perhaps even pray. The author has been through times of lonliness, hopelessness, heartache, fear and shattered dreams, as well as times of great joy, peace, and hope beyond her dreams! She found there's a difference between having religion, and having a relationship with God.

In the hardest time of her life, she had little desire to live. But, something kept her going, Someone, rather. A thirst entered her soul, to seek the meaning of life. God touched her heart and soul, setting her on a quest to understand why most of what she learned in traditional religion was not biblical. She found that we must not turn to others to get to Heaven- but to God Himself! After writing poems through it all, she shared some with her husband and close friends, who encouraged her to publish them, that others may receive hope, too.

About the Author

April Smith was raised in Catholic Tradition, by loving parents. She married at a young age, had three children, and faced being a single parent, after a tough divorce. Her world and even her faith shattered. But triumph came through this tragedy! True happiness that changed her life came from God.
