Appointment Prologue: Once there was a time when turkeys and chickens could live together in harmony. Once there was a time not clouded by the shade of war. That time is over. A new age has dawned. The Fowl War. The chickens were having a festival to celebrate that there hadn't been an attack on the chicken planet since Fowl War I; rejoicing that no turkeys had come to the festival yet. Or so they thought. From the turkey command ship, Bob watched the chickens in their soon-to-be brief moment of happiness. Bob was the turkey commander. He had sent a squad of turkey spies disguised as chicken civilians to the chickens' festival on their home-planet. Bob strode over to his right-hand turkey, Boblina. She was very beautiful, and Bob couldn't believe that she was in the war. "What is the progress of the squad?" "Very good, sir. The turkeys have infiltrated the festival," Boblina replied. Bob walked away. I can't keep stalling like this. he thought. I'll have to ask her eventually. -Excerpt from the Prologue

About the Author
Miles Hubble and Justin Bryant have been friends for seven years and are both avid readers and have great word knowledge. Miles is twelve years old and Justin is thirteen. They are in their third year of writing their books. Miles has taken inspiration from Christopher Paolini, who self-published his best-seller when he was just fifteen. Their book was started three years ago in school by a writing assignment. They both happened to write almost the same thing, so they combined them, revised it, and that became their prologue. Miles and Justin have been working on it ever since. They both reside in Puyallup, Washington, and are in a gifted education program at Kalles Jr. High. They are currently working on the sequel.
