About the Author

Salem, Oregon native Kay L. McDonald is the author of four historical novels of the American West and one contemporary romance set in Hawaii. She began writing her first novel while she was a stay-at-home mother with her two children. In the mid-seventies the family took their first vacation to Hawaii and the author fell in love with Maui and the Hawaiian culture and she and husband Norman have been vacationing on Maui for years.
