About the Book

Reflections, Memories and Musings describes our society at the cross roads. It’s a panoramic view of today’s life, with an honest appraisal of its heartaches and joys. This book touches on the thoughts we all wonder and worry. It tells its story in a direct, refreshingly honest and humorous way.

A journey of discovery, a powerful story of insights and self discovery, who we are and what drives us, told with unique perspectives. And a perfect blend of literary styles. Thoughtful vignettes that tell of contemporary problems and hopeful solutions. R. Vaughan, Editor Grolier’s, Inc.

About the Author

As long as I can remember, I loved words. As teen I read every issue of Readers Digest then took the comprehension test. Multiple choice, word definitions. It was a bad day if I didn’t get sixteen out of twenty right. After undergrad on to Medical School and a busy surgeon’s life. Little time to stop and smell the roses. It wasn’t until retirement that I could pursue interests and dreams. Planted a large perennial garden that brings delight and is a source of motivation for nature writing. I enjoy music, sing in several choral groups. I have six grown children, eleven grands. What a joy to see their lives form, mold and grow. Now it seems my thoughts and vision see further, to today’s joys and problems, and beyond , to subjects that are the basis of this book. It contains twenty chapters covering topics that are of interest today, subjects which are timeless, subjects that make you laugh and cry, deal with our innermost self in an honest forthright manner. And you might just get a laugh or two from the humorous situations. Read and see what you think, Thanks, Jim Gibbons
