The Travelers

Year 2040, the resistance is retreating. The super humans are too strong for them to handle. Captain Spicer is running while breathing heavily, his heart pounding and once again he escapes death and/or capture from the super humans. A rocket just flies above his head and misses him by an inch. He ducks and looks for cover. Captain Spicer is handsome, tall, sturdy built guy in his metallic armor suit and now he is ordering his troops to retreat. His troops are exhausted and reducing in numbers, and now they have to go back in hiding. “Teleport on 3, now 1, 2, 3” and just like that his troops disappeared. Adrian and Simeon waited for the next station. They have to create a diversion for Captain Spicer and small Bob. Adrian is a little nervous because his job is to plant a small explosive on the bus as a diversion. They waited for everybody to get out of the bus and just like that, the bomb explodes in the bus. The bus rises 20 feet up in the air and pieces of the charred bus fall down from the sky. The human aliens are now rushing to the scene. They are arresting every human they can find. Panic begins to set in, everybody is running like a wild boar, and the aliens and their laser guns are shooting every child, every woman and every man. Adrian and Simeon start running with the crowd and Simeon pulls out his laser gun. One of the human aliens sees him and start shooting weapon back at him. Adrian gets his laser sword but the human alien who catches up with him gets hold of Adrian’s leg. Adrian falls in the ground and he twists his ankles. The human alien starts pointing a laser gun at Adrian’s face, but Adrian was quick and he swings his laser sword and stabs the human alien’s lower body. A green liquid starts oozing out of the human aliens body. Simeon grabs Adrian and carries the limping Adrian away from the oozing Alien, but it seems like the aliens have evolved this time. The green oozing liquid takes to a different shape and becomes a semi-solid form. It grabs hold of Adrian and it begins to engulf Adrian’s body. Adrian starts resisting and screaming. The green semi-solid alien slowly squeezes Adrian’s body and it climbs into his orifice. It gets inside his ears, eyes, nose, mouth and every hole in his body. The alien is sucking air from his lungs. Adrian makes his last stand. He breathes air as hard as he can and he looks at Simeon. He is struggling to form a word. His eyes stared at Simeon for help and finally he was able to say just shoot me and that was his last words. Simeon is startled and without thinking he aims his laser gun to his longtime friend and shoots. Tears flows from Simeon eyes and for a moment a flashback of memories running to his head and everything seems to be in slow motion. Captain Spicer and small Bob run across the room where the device is located. “It is somewhere here, somewhere here” small Bob repeating himself. He starts to panic. He starts to think what if it’s not here, and then all this thing is just for nothing. Small Bob repeats himself again “somewhere here, somewhere here”. Then the human alien guard caught up with them and to Captain Spicer’s surprise it is Jack, his 2nd Lieutenant. “Jack!” Captain Spicer shouted with excitement. Jack does not budge instead he draws his laser gun ready to shoot as if he does not know Captain Spicer at all. “Jack! It’s me your Captain, remember.” Captain Spicer mumbles with frustration.. Jack raises his gun and starts pulling the trigger, but Captain Spicer is quicker and he stabs Jack in the arm. A green oozing liquid begins to drip and form into a semi liquid shape. It started to get hold of Captain Spicer hand and crawl into the captain’s head. The captain’s knees are weakened and he feels dizzy. It seems like his memory is being sucked away. Small Bob found the machine and hurries to put it together.
