January 5 - THE ROUND TABLE Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God. God does not see men through the jaundiced eye of preference. He sees all men as sinners. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; And after they have been justified by faith, He sees all men as saved sinners. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Not so with we mortals who peer at earth’s restless lot through the spectacles of prejudice. Race, riches, residence, religion, regalia, region, all cloud or control our attitude toward others. Not what they are, but who they are. In the legend of King Arthur and the Knights, they met around a circular table. There was no head of the table; all Knights were equal. When we gather around the marriage supper of the lamb, it will be a “round” table. No lofty or lowly, no white collar or blue collar, no uptown or downtown, no Neiman Marcus or Good Will; only One that is special, He that is seated on the throne. We all originate from the ground, With God, humanities table is round. For who maketh thee to differ from another? If they’re saved, they’re another sister or brother. George E.
