Please Stop, Wait, Reflect before running and rushing for more grabbing and grubbing into the well and not so well decorated entrapments, which are the supermarkets, the departmental stores, the restaurants, the amusement parks, and the movie theatres. It amazes me how people go the extra mile in buying gifts for loved ones at the expense of their financial situations. I've seen people charge their credit cards for the purchase of gifts, but they adamantly refuse to accept our own FREE gift. Now I wonder how any of us feels when our carefully selected exclusive gift is rejected? IT IS THANKSGIVING: Thanksgiving is a day that is set aside in the land of the Americas to reflect upon the goodness of the almighty God in the Land. After the celebration and the festivity of that last Thursday in November, people often forget to appropriate thanksgiving everyday throughout the year. Thanksgiving is a matter of the heart’s condition .We focus on the gifts and not the Giver of the gifts and as a result we miss the true meaning of what we are celebrating.

Eunice Badaki has been in the banking industry for more than ten years. She was born in Oweland, Iyara-Kabba, Nigeria into the family of the Late Chief and the Late Chief (Mrs.) E.A. BADAKI.
